U6 soccer, flag football, volleyball, basketball, kid's night out
Sign-up for several spring youth activities is underway at Bluffton Family Recreation this month, according to Daniel Tinch, BFR executive director.
U6 Soccer
Spring U6 soccer takes place from Tuesday, April 2, to Thursday, May 4. It is open to boys and girls ages 4 to 6. Registration deadline is Sunday, March 17.
Games are from 6 to 7 p.m., on Tuesdays and Thursdays at BFR. Each night begins with a 10-minute practice followed by four 8-minute quarters. April 2 is a skills night with no game. Volunteer coaches are needed.
Youth NFL Flag Football
Flag football takes place Saturdays from April 6 through May 4. It is open to youth ages 5 to 12. Players receive a reversible NFL Flag Jersey and a set of NFL flags. Cost is $35 for members and $70 for program participants.
6-8 Grade Basketball Clinic
The clinic meets in the BFR gym from 4 to 5 p.m., Wednesdays from April 10 to May 15, led by Kaycee Rowe.
3-4 Grade Volleyball
Volleyball takes place from Monday, March 18, through Saturday, April 13. Play is in a league round-robin format.
Volleyball Clinic
The clinic is Sunday, March 17, for grades 6 to 8. Contact BFR for additional details for this clinic.
Kid’s Night Out
A kid’s night out for youth ages 5 to 12 takes place from 5 to 11 p.m., on Saturday, May 4. Proceeds from the evening will benefit a local youth group. Call BFR to register.
