The largest snowflake ever to land in Bluffton may be viewed as it hangs from a light pole on Main Street in front of Common Grounds and The Food Store. We recommend viewing it after dark.
Despite being August, the snowflake will remain there for a few weeks. The snowflake is part of the Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce's new holiday lighting plan for Main Street. (see story below)
It's Christmas in August in downtown Bluffton. Really.
Check out the 4-foot-tall lighted snowflake hanging from the light pole in front of Common Grounds and The Food Store at the Main-Cherry intersection. Also check out the 12-foot holiday garland wrapped around the pole.
What's this all about? Has Bluffton lost track of what month it is? The answer is "No."

The Smurfs (PG) is the feature movie at the Shannon Theatre Aug. 12 to 18.

Rev. Lew VanderNaald, pastor of Bluffton Presbyterian Church, has retired from the ministry. His final sermon with the Bluffton congregation was Sunday, July 31.
