This December, Bluffton Public Library guests will enjoy a variety of free holiday programs designed for all ages. No registration is required.
Live holiday music performances in the "stacks" include Jim Boedicker and Ed Zickafoose on guitar from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Monday, December 2. The Dulcimer Gatherin' will perform from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Monday, December 9. Free refreshments will be provided, courtesy of the Friends of the Library.
Starting Nov. 9, Bluffton Public Library will be filled with more than 50 gift packages, with something for all interests, budgets and age levels. All packages will feature "buy now" prices.
Packages include numerous local business products, a Dyson vacuum, American Girl doll and book, Disney tickets, Amish B & B getaway, Dollywood tickets, Redbox, hair care, car care, camping, collectibles, restaurant and movie certificates, and much more.
The Bluffton Public Library Board of Trustees will hold a special meeting at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 30, at 145 S. Main Street in Bluffton. The special meeting will immediately move into executive session to discuss hiring personnel and conclude following adjournment of executive session.
The Bluffton Public Library will host a special after-hours Holiday Extravaganza and Silent Auction Preview on Friday, Nov. 8. Doors open at 6 p.m. and demonstrations will begin at 6:30 p.m.
"Come and get a head start on holiday shopping, enjoy a night out and support literacy and learning at the same time," said Cindi Chasse, library director.
The Gardener's of the Bluffton/Pandora Area would like to invite the public to a lecture on seed saving. The lecture is at 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 1, in the lower level of the Bluffton Public Library.
The lecture will cover how to prepare and save heirloom and open pollinated non-hybrid seeds, so you can plant them next season. Seed saving is a great way to save money on seed packets and help preserve heirloom seeds to encourage biodiversity.
