Come watch THE SECRET LIFE OF PETS free!  Sadly, Bluffton Public Library's Summer Program is nearly over, but everyone who completes the program is invited to the Summer Program Grand Finale on July 28th at 10 am at the Shannon Theater!  The last day to turn in entry forms or get your reading log checked is July 26th.

So, how can you receive a ticket?  Did you:

"The Friends of the Library are planning the fall book sale and we need books!" Sallie Jones of the Friends told The Icon.

Q: What type of books?
A: Histories, mysteries, novels any or current books.

She asks that persons do not donate text books or encyclopedias. Proceeds ffom the book sale provides programs and projects for the library.

Last year the Friends' projects enable the library to purchase a new overhead projector system.

Books for future book sales may be dropped off at the library, 154 S. Main St., Bluffton.

Burma Shave-type signs show up along Ride to Remember route

Viewers who checked out the Iconoclast View column see a vision of many Burma Shave signs in front of them.

The signs were created for Saturday’s Ride to Remember bike ride by Bluffton Public Library staff.

The signs were place along the various bike routes to keep bikers entertained. And, according to questionnaires filled out by participants following the ride, the signs were a big hit.
