Bluffton University will hold its annual C. Henry Smith Peace Oratorical Contest at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 3, in Yoder Recital Hall.
Students selected to participate will prepare an oration, no more than ten minutes in length, which applies a peace-church perspective to an issue of contemporary concern.
Dora Maendel of Fairholme Hutterite Colony and Dr. Duane Stoltzfus of Goshen College will present “On the Front Line of Conscience: An Account of Four Hutterites Imprisoned at Alcatraz” at 4 p.m. on Sunday, March 31, in Centennial Hall’s Stutzman Lecture Hall.
The Bluffton University baseball team tied it in the eighth and took advantage of back-to-back Capital errors in the ninth to win their second game in three days on Tuesday, March 26! Bluffton evened up its record at 9-9, while the Crusaders fell to 4-12 overall.

April 1 Art Exhibit: “52nd annual Juried Student Exhibit,” Sauder Visual Arts Center, Grace Albrecht Gallery, 9 a.m. -5 p.m. weekdays, 1-5 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays through May 5.
April 2 Forum: “Using Ancient Wisdom to Stop Destructive Communication in its Tracks: Reining in Gottman’s Horsemen,” Forum by Marathana Prothro, assistant professor of communication, 11 a.m., Yoder Recital Hall.
A concert featuring Bluffton University’s Camerata Singers and a Masterworks performance by University Chorale and the Bluffton Choral Society will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, March 31, in Yoder Recital Hall.
With Camerata performing first, the concert will include selections ranging from “Requiem Aeternam,” a traditional Latin chant to “Ave Verum Corpus” by Mozart to “Homeward Bound,” words and music by Marta Keen.
