Bluffton University has announced its plans for continuing programs at the Lion and Lamb Peace Arts Center, which will build on new experiential learning opportunities that connect university students with teaching peace starting in fall 2022.
An advisory committee met in fall 2021 to learn about the Lion and Lamb’s important work and make recommendations about the next steps for the center.
Dr. Amy Mullins, associate professor of education at Bluffton University, has been awarded a Bluffton University Research Center grant.
Mullins, an Ada resident and member of the Ada Board of Education, will work on an app and additional literacy resources for young adult students based on her previous work with the phonics resource she developed called “Crack the Code.”
Faculty from eight Mennonite institutions of higher education in the United States and Canada came together May 26-27, 2022, for the Marpeck Deans Conference hosted by Bluffton University. Following the theme “Transcending Disciplinary Boundaries,” sessions focused on how productive teaching, learning and research emerge through interdisciplinary approaches and curricula.
The conference provided participants a way to both learn what is going well on other campus and make connections with colleagues at different Mennonite campuses.
In recognition of the contributions Bluffton alumni make to the institution and in their respective communities, Bluffton University is helping graduates continue their education through the Bluffton University Alumni Master’s Degree Grant.
