The Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce reminds area crafters that the early-bird deadline for registering for a booth in this year's Bluffton Arts and Crafts Show is May 1.
This year marks the 40th anniversary of the Bluffton arts and crafts show. Crafters who register for a booth by May 1 pay only $40. After that date, the registration fee is $50.
According to Jerry Burkholder, director of the show, over 40 crafters have already registered.
Indie rock trio Jonathan Reuel and the Brilliant will play the back room of Tu Pueblo Mexican Restaurant, 142 N Main St, Bluffton, at 8 p.m. Saturday, April 30. There is a $5 cover charge.
Their sound is inspired by the energy of garage rock and the imagery ofpoet-songwriters like Paul Simon and
Bob Reuel has toured widely in the U.S. and Canada, opening for acts like Over the Rhine, the Psalters and
Trent Wagler and the Steel Wheels.
There's still time to form a team to enter this summer's Friends of the Bluffton Public Library golf scramble. Team registrations are due by May 25. The event is held at the Bluffton Golf Club on June 4.

BFR will offer several youth tennis programs this spring and summer, according to Carole Enneking.
BFF Sports and Fitness offers traditional lessons for youth as well as the newly created USTA Quickstart program.
Limited space for returning players is available in the remaining four-week session of traditional lessons.
Summer programs will include Quickstart program as well as traditional lessons. Quickstart (for ages 6-10 years) blends tennis skills with smaller court play.
