Respected instrument maker and performing artist Bal'azs Nagy and bandmate Katalin Benno from Budapest, Hungary, will appear in at the Bluffton Town Hall Concert Series at 7 p.m., Wednesday, April 20.

A soup supper at 6 p.m., will launch the event. Events are on the third floor of the town hall. Admission is free; donations are accepted.

The performances will feature Hungarian folk, Medieval, and Renaissance music on the hurdy gurdy, a mechanized wheeled, according to Wendy Chappell-Dick of the village cultural affairs committee.

"Cinderella" comes to the Bluffton Middle School stage this weekend as Bluffton High School presents the Rodgers and Hammerstein musicial on two evenings and one afternoon.

Performances are Friday, April 15, at 8 p.m.; Saturday, April 16, at 8 p.m.; and Sunday, April 17 at 2 p.m.

Tickets are on sale in the Middle School office. Reserved seats are $10. General admission seats are $5 for adult, $3 for students.

On Thursday, April 14, The Friends of the Bluffton Public Library will host a formal Tea with the Lincolns, featuring President Abraham and Mrs. Mary Todd Lincoln as portrayed by Roger and Judy Jenot of Carey.

The tea begins at 5:45 p.m. and will be held in the library's Richland Room.President Lincoln and his first lady will speak about their experiences from the 1800s.

The Jenots bring a wealth of experience to these roles: they have traveled to many places associated with the Lincoln family and the Civil War era.

Bluffton Public Library's monthly book discussion will be held from noon to 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 4. Read about an American journalist's release from captivity in North Korea in Euna Lee's The World is Bigger Now, a remarkable story of faith, family and forgiveness. The book discussion will be held at Common Grounds Coffeehouse & Caf'e.

Anyone interested in attending is welcome and a month-to-month commitment is not required. Copies of the book are available at the library.

In honor of Jazz Appreciation Month, Bluffton Public Library is hosting "Jazz in the Stacks" on Monday, April 18, beginning at 6 p.m.

Jazz music will be presented by the Bluffton High School Jazz Band led by David Sycks. Refreshments will be provided.

A benefit fish fry to help Stacy, Sarah and Shane Combs will take place Friday evening hosted by the Emmanuel United Church of Christ.

According to Eric Rummel, pastor of the church, all proceeds will go to Stacy, Sarah, and Shane Combs to assist their family following the recent death of Shawn Combs.

The fish fry from 4 to 7 p.m., Friday, April 8, at the church at 8375 Phillips Road.Tickets are $7 for adults and $3.50 for youth under 11.

Menu consists of regular home cooked meal including fish, salads, and desserts.
