Deserved to be on a calendar

60 years later - meet the BHS class of 1957

Bluffton High School class of 1957 celebrated its 60th reunion on June 17, 2017, in the Bluffton town hall.

Swiss Day June 25

Program "Letters from the Swiss Settlement 1840-1860"

The Swiss Community Historical Society’s annual Swiss Day is Sunday, June 25, according to Gary Wetherill, president of the society.

This year’s event includes:
• 12:30 p.m. potluck at Ebenezer Mennonite Church
• 2:30 p.m. program – “Letters from the Swiss Settlement 1840-1860.”
• Following the program – Schumacher homestead open house

Hanging gardens of Bluffton

Stratton Greenhouses employees hang nearly a dozen hanging flower baskets along Main Street on Friday. The hanging baskets compliment Stratton flower pots on the sidewalks, making Bluffton's downtown vibrant for the summer.

Where we stand on global warming and the Paris climate agreement

Humphrey Bogart was wrong when, in Casablanca, he said: "We'll always have Paris." As of June 1, 2017, the world has turned. We won't have Paris.

We will, however, stand firm with the following opinions on Paris (and global warming).  The following is from NASA on climate change. CLICK HERE TO VIEW IT.

Observations throughout the world make it clear that climate change is occurring, and rigorous scientific research demonstrates that the greenhouse gases emitted by human activities are the primary driver.
