Iconoclast View

FROM ADA ICON - Dan and Randy Garver of Fine Touch Furniture, Ada, make it look so easy. Here they pose with a recently completed project.

On Tuesday Ada Rotary members heard an update on the Bluffton Icon's sister publication, Ada Icon, from Fred Steiner, owner, and Monty Siekerman, editor.

The Ada Icon, now in its fifth year, is a household name in Ada. Since Jan. 1 of this year the Ada Icon has had 74,958 views from 33,481 individual viewers.

There are two Icons: Ada and Bluffton. Each cover the school districts in their viewship.

Okay, it's mid-July. Things are pretty slow.

Just for fun, the Icon will provide 4 free tickets to the Shannon Theatre to the viewer who submits, either:

1 - The best headline for this photo, or
2 - A sentence that best explains this photo

To assist, here's some background. The male model is Derek Dukes of Southgate Lanes.

Deadline is Wednesday, July 19, at noon. Send entry with your name to: [email protected], or simply submit your entry on the Facebook comment option.

Looking forward to your entry.

The Bluffton Sardines swim team and all their fans are in Kenton Friday and Saturday. It's the Western Ohio Aquatic League meet.

Watch the Icon for results.

Are you missing a rooster? The Ada police department has a rooster that needs to be relocated to a farm home.

We have no idea how it got to Ada and if anyone can assist in taking the rooster, please call the Ada Police Department at 419-634-0010, Phone Option #2.

10:06 P.M NOTE: The Bluffton warning siren was activated by Allen County, not by the village. At 9:44 p.m. the Bluffton warning siren alerted residents of heavy rains heading toward Bluffton from the west.
