Where we stand on global warming and the Paris climate agreement

Humphrey Bogart was wrong when, in Casablanca, he said: "We'll always have Paris." As of June 1, 2017, the world has turned. We won't have Paris.

We will, however, stand firm with the following opinions on Paris (and global warming).  The following is from NASA on climate change. CLICK HERE TO VIEW IT.

Observations throughout the world make it clear that climate change is occurring, and rigorous scientific research demonstrates that the greenhouse gases emitted by human activities are the primary driver.

The Icon's home page photo of Memorial Day featured a view from a zoom 140 mm lens enlarged beyond that point.

Here's approximately the same view photographed at 18 mm. Same spot, different, yet interesting, perspective.

The Icon posted this photo last week. It shows third graders in Ann Kingsley's class at the Main Street mural. We ask Ann for more details and here's what she sent us:

In third grade, social studies focuses on "community."

We spend the month of May learning about Bluffton. This is our first of three Bluffton history walks.

Who would have guessed it - Bluffton High School seniors' final day at school.

This morning with a police escort, members of the BHS 2017 class came to school in a variety of vehicles.

Please enjoy these photos and try to recall your final day in high school.
