Letter: About that foot X-ray machine

I didn't know the X-ray machine was possibly still in the old Walter Gratz shoe store (my friends and I called him Walter Goose because he sold Red Goose shoes), but I remember stepping into it when my parents would take me in to get shoes at the store.

Seeing my foot bones, which were so interesting!, was quite enlightening. Perhaps it led to my daughter's career choice as an anatomist.

Letter: what is the deal with our water quality?

Icon readers want to know:

What is the deal with our water quality? Most days the Ottawa water quality is much softer, though not very tasty, compared to the old Bluffton water.

But we have had repeated periods of very rusty water, making our toilets nasty and laundry a nightmare.

Why is this happening and will it ever end? If it is related to repair work, can the Village notify residents?

Letter: Vote "Yes" on the May 4 school renewal levy

Icon viewers:
In Bluffton we have the privilege of a school that consistently ranks near the top for student learning. At the same time our school ranks near the bottom for money spent per student. What a bargain. We have high performance at low cost. From an economic viewpoint it doesn't get much better.
