The BPL Update for March 2022 has been issued with a calendar and details about the events and resources to be found at Bluffton Public Library, 145 S. Main.

Resources that can be enjoyed throughout the month include:

New Beanstack Challenges 

  • American Sign Language (Ohio Deaf History Month, March 13-April 15)
  • Women Changemakers (Women’s History Month)
  • Oscar-Worthy Reads.

Beanstack challenges you to read during the month and keeps track of your reading on www.blufftonpubliclibrary.beanstack.org.

The State of Ohio has a reminder for those of us with little readers: “Valentine’s Day is so sweet, just like the Imagination Library!” a free program that mails kids one book each month until their 5th birthday. 

All children in Ohio between birth and age 5 are eligible to be enrolled in the program at no cost to their family. Through a partnership with Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library and local affiliates, this program is available at no cost to families.

The Bluffton Public Library invites individuals and famlies to enjoy reading challenges and activities with Beanstack. Who's it for? Readers ages 0-109.

The Bluffton Public Library has released its February Update, a detailed listing of activities and services available at the library, 145 S. Main St.

PRE-K to 12TH GRADE

At 6 p.m. on January 25, Anne Coburn-Griffis and Sophie the Pig of The Quarry Farm Natue Preserve will join the Bluffton Public Library for a fun animal book discussion. The event is open to adults and teens.

The book to be discussed is The Good Good Pig by Sy Montgomery. Register at the library by January 18 to check out your copy of the book.

This program is planned to be held in person at the library, 145 S. Main St.

Jammin' at the Library returns the the Bluffton Public Library at 6 p.m. on Monday, January 10 and continues on Monday, January 24.

The song-circle style jam session developed a loyal band of particpants in pre-COVID years. Several guitar players are regulars, but vocalists, box drum, ukelele, piano, harmonica, and bass players have also been seen and heard at the sessions. All are invited to join in or to listen in.
