Riley Creek United Methodist's 42nd annual Christmas carol sing Dec. 1

Riley Creek United Methodist Church invites the community to its 42nd annual Christmas Carol Sing on Sunday, Dec. 1, at 7:30 p.m. 

Like an old-fashioned songfest around the piano, the program will feature congregational singing of many traditional carols, as well as readings from Scripture about Jesus’ birth, special performances by the Pandora United Methodist and Ottawa Sts. Peter and Paul choirs, and a candle lighting ceremony.

Free Pandora community meal Nov. 20

The Pandora United Methodist Church will be hosting a free community meal on Wednesday, Nov. 20, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. in the church fellowship hall, 108 E. Washington St., Pandora.

The meal this month is provided by the First National Bank of Pandora. The menu will be barbecued pork Sandwich, cheesy potatoes, macaroni salad, dessert and beverage.

Angels and nativity scenes on display in Mt Cory Dec. 7-8

Icon viewers are invited to  “Heaven Came Down,” a display of angels and nativity scenes at the Bethel Family Life Center of the Mount Cory United Methodist Church, 201 W. Washington St., Mount Cory. 

Doors will be open Saturday, Dec, 7, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 8, from 12:30 p.m. to 5 pm.

Also on Saturday will be the monthly Community Coffee from 7:30 a.m. – 10 am also at BFLC.

Grace Mennonite holds book sale, bake sale, breakfast Nov. 22-23

Grace Mennonite Church in Pandora invites Icon viewers to its annual book sale, bake sale and breakfast on Friday and Saturday, Nov. 22-23. 

Hours are 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. on Friday and 8:30 – 11 a.m. on Saturday.  Jilaine Graber from Faith and Life Bookstore, Berne, Ind. will bring an assortment of books and gifts.

Emmanuel UCC fish fry Nov. 8

Emmanuel United Church of Christ's fall fish fry is from 4 to 7 p.m., Friday, Nov. 8, at the church, 8375 Phillips Road, Bluffton.

Tickets are adults $7 and youth 10 and under $4.

Churches in Pandora and Gilboa offering food boxes

The churches of Pandora and Gilboa are offering food boxes for households in the Pandora-Gilboa School District. 

The boxes are designed to provide nine meals for a family of four. In order to pick up a box, you must register by calling 419-384-3038 by 5 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 18. 

Boxes will be available to be picked up on Saturday, Nov. 23, at 11 a.m. at the Grace Mennonite Church located at 502 East Main St., Pandora. Please note that the food boxes will be picked up the Saturday before the Thanksgiving holiday.
