Full Sound Chamber Group will perform in concert at 3 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 17, at St. John's United Church of Christ, 223 W. College Ave., Bluffton, according to Rev. Carol Clements, pastor.

The performance is open to the public with no admission charge.

The chamber group iincludes five classically-trained musicians performing on violin, viola, cello, double bass and piano. A free-will offering will be taken.

The performance includes music of Czerny, Hebden, Coates and Lalo.

 

Ebenezer Mennonite Church, Bluffton, will celebrate its 50th annual Festival of Missions, Nov. 10 through 17. The theme is Footprints of the Past, Footsteps toward the Future. 

Featured speakers are Jerry Trousdale, director of International Ministries for City Team International. He co-founded Final Command Ministries, an organization dedicated to establishing church planting movements among Muslim people groups.

Chip Kirk has served with OM ships Doulos and Logos II since 1987. He and his wife, Stellise have two daughters and three grandchildren.

St. John's United Church of Christ, 223 W. College Ave., Bluffton, holds its fall beef and noodle dinner from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., Friday, Nov. 15, at the church.

The meal includes homegrown beef, noodles, mashed potatoes, green beans, cole slaw, a roll and homemade pies and beverages.

Tickets are $7 for adults, $5 for sixth grade through college students, $4 for elementary students and free for youth pre-kindergarten and younger.

The Pandora United Methodist Church will host a free community meal on Wednesday, Oct. 30, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. in the church fellowship hall, 108 E. Washington St., Pandora.

The meal this month is provided by the Morning Glory Group. The menu will be beef stew, roll, applesauce, cookies and beverage.

Bluffton Trinity United Methodist Church, 2202 SR 103, will hold its fifth annual winter coat and apparel giveaway this fall.

Any business or organization wanting to participate is invited to do so. 

Ria Reed said, "If you are interested in collecting any coats, gloves and scarves for all ages and genders, please let us know and we will supply and maintain the collection box at the desired location.

The churches of Pandora and Gilboa are offering food boxes for households in the Pandora-Gilboa School District. 

The boxes are designed to provide nine meals for a family of four. In order to pick up a box, you must register by calling 419-384-3038 by 5 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 21. 

Boxes will be available to be picked up on Saturday, Oct. 26, at 11 a.m. at the Grace Mennonite Church located at 502 East Main Street, Pandora.
