I wanted to tell you how much I enjoy the Icon. I left Bluffton for good back in 1976, after my last summer working at the Beaverdam Truck Stop.
In the years that followed, I kept track of goings on in my home town through my parents and my brother John, who still lived there. With the passing of all three of them, I lost track of what was happening other than snippets I learned when I was in contact with old friends. How wonderful to be able to log onto the Icon and catch up.
Why aren't there lights for the basketball courts at the Buckeye Park? It looks like it is set up to house lights since they have poles and the electrical work inside of the poles but someone took them out.
One way to keep kids out of trouble and healthy is to keep them occupied with activities such as basketball. In the summer and spring it becomes impossible to play basketball when the sun sets even though that is the best time to play.

Why is Harmon Field locked up? The gates should be locked open so people can use the field to walk or whatever. I think people don't know that it was given to the Village of Bluffton and the school took care of it. Seems to me the caretaker has locked out the owner!!!
The month of April has been designated Sexual Assault Awareness Month in the United States. The goal of Sexual Assault Awareness Month is to raise public awareness about sexual violence and to educate communities and individuals on how to prevent sexual violence.
This April communities across the country are proclaiming "It's time ... to talk about it!" Let's be honest, "it" is not an easy subject to talk about.
