Relay for Life committee thanks sponsors, volunteers

On behalf of the American Cancer Society Relay For Life of Bluffton, we would like to thank the many people who helped with our birthday celebration.

The teams did an outstanding job. Many thanks to Cut & Curl and Friends, Bluffton High School Track and Cross Country, Trinity Lutheran Church from Jenera, and DTR.

Their team leaders Lynda Best, Jerry Burkholder, Jean Ream, Kim Spallinger, Jody Logan and Hannah Chappel-Dick.

Thanks to everyone who helped in the sesquicentennial

God smiled on our 2011 Bluffton Sesquicentennial. For nine days we had good weather and four years of work proved to be a very successful event.

Thank you to each and everyone who assisted our Sesquicentennial Committee.

Do you think in 150 years our successors will honor us as we have our ancestors? Hopefully we will prove worthy.

Letter: Thank you letter carriers for help in food drive

The Bluffton community can be proud of its mail carriers. Each year for the past several years, our local mail carriers who are members of the National Association of Letter and Rural Carriers have participated in the national Stamp Out Hunger Campaign.

On the second Saturday in May, our carriers not only deliver our mail, but pick up groceries that we leave on our doorsteps to be distributed to the needy in our area.

Letter: Interested in establishing employment car pools from Bluffton to other communities

I think it would be of great interest to your readers to post a section for people who would like to car pool from Bluffton to Lima. My wife and I both work in Lima and would look forward to car pooling with other individuals that wish to save money on the high cost of gas.
